Thomas Wayne Norris (1878-1952) accumulated a large collection of ephemera, maps and books on the history of California. Carl I. Wheat wrote a tribute to Norris as an "... avid and discriminating collector of Californiana ... For a number of years his Christmas greeting was a Grabhorn reproduction of some noteworthy manuscript from his collection, and when his books were disposed of, shortly after his retirement from active business, the extensive catalogue (Oakland:Holmes Bookstore, 1948) was likewise an impressive product of the Grabhorn Press."
