Henry Raup Wagner (1862-1957) was a book collector, cartographer, historian, author and bibliographer. He was a Yale law school graduate and worked for mining interests in North and South America, New York and London. He was a major book collector in later shifted from collecting to research and writing articles, books and bibliographies on the American Southwest, exploration and maps of the Northwest Coast of America. He is credited with 193 publications from Ruth Axe book, The Published Writings of Henry R. Wagner, 1988.
